Tom Ford Cheek Color in 01 Love Lust - Review

This is another item from my Harrods haul from a couple of months ago. A Tom Ford Cheek Color is something that had been on my wishlist for a long time. Tom Ford is pretty hard to get in Australia. David Jones is the only stockist and then it is only at a couple of stores and nothing online.

This blush just exudes luxury. Look at it! Don't you just want to start talking with a posh accent? I love it. Gorgeous deep brown and gold, so pretty! Plus a nice little velvet pouch to store it in. The TF printed into the blush too - it is those little touches that make it a luxury item.

I chose the shade 01 Love Lust which is a shimmery, coral-pink. It reminds me a little of Nars Orgasm but is less pink, more orange. I think this is an excellent shade for summer. I love the fine shimmer too. It is not too much but really highlights the face.

This blush is incredibly smooth to apply. It is buttery soft and blends beautifully. It is very pigmented and lasts all day (10+ hours). I feel it gives the face a quite natural looking flush.

I believe the Australian retail price is around $85.00.

Yes it is expensive.

It is a luxury buy and at that price a lot of people will think it is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a blush. I am all about the luxury though so I wouldn't hesitate to hand over the money. For me is this product is worth the money. I am very rarely disappointed by an expensive 'high-end' item, though regularly disappointed by 'drugstore' items.

Honestly I am planning on purchasing at least one more in the future. I love the look of pretty much all the shades especially Flush and Narcissist.

Have you tried a Tom Ford Cheek Color? What do you think of luxury products? Do you willingly hand over your cash?

  1. Oh this is beautiful! I would hand money over for luxury products, I have a lot of Chanel, I've just purchased a Le Metier de Beaute foundation. I find the quality is worth the price.

  4. Ohhhhh this is such a beautiful colour, Stephanie! I think it would suit most skin tones too.

I don't own any Tom Ford, Chanel, or those types of brands though I do have a few Benefit items. I think it's each to their own but of my budget for beauty things, most of it goes on my skin care as for me that is the key. Having said that, if it's a product that you will get a lot of use from and it is good quality I always think the cost is justifiable, including for a blush like this.

I'd better start buying lotto tickets haha! ;)
