Last week I made a quick trip to Chadstone after my Nanna's three monthly check up appointment in the city. Her appointments are always early in the morning so it is a great chance to catch up with family for lunch. It also gives me time to get my brows done at Benefit, check out my favourite beauty counters and pick up a few things.
I had a bit of a list of things I wanted to check out but sadly most of the things on my list weren't out in Australia yet (like all the new foundations I am lusting after). However, I still managed to spend most of my quarterly bonus (before it has even been paid... oops).
From LancĂ´me I purchased the Miracle Cushion Compact. This is something I have been wanting since its initial release but I just kept forgetting to check it out at a counter. I have tried this over the last couple of days and I can already tell you I am in love. My skin looks so lovely and glowy using this product.
The Spring 2016 Collection from Dior has been on my radar since I saw the promo photos what seems like ages ago. I ummed and ahhed over purchasing anything from the collection as the reviews had been mixed. I couldn't resist once I saw the Glowing Gardens DiorBlush in 844 Floral Pink in person. The embossed pattern was just too pretty and I was lucky to get the last one the counter had.
The lady that works the YSL counter at Myer is so lovely, whenever I am at Chadstone I stop by for a chat and to pick up something new. The Rouge Volupte Shine formula has released some new shades in a Oil-in-Stick formula inspired by the Oil-in-Tint lip glosses/oils. I purchased shade 50 Fuchsia Stiletto which is a gorgeous bright pink. I was a bit shocked to see the price has increased to $57! If you are near the YSL counter stop and chat to Laila if she is there, she is lovely and will always try to find you a sample (or two) to take home.
Ah Chanel, my first (and possibly true) love. The ladies at the Chanel Beauty Boutique are so lovely, I highly recommend you head there for your next Chanel fix (Vickie is my go to lady, she always looks after me). I spent about 45 minutes there, sitting and chatting whilst checking out the latest releases.
From the new Le Vernis line I purchased the shade 512 Mythique, a deep burgundy red which I think will look amazing in Autumn. This polish is meant to be a long wearing, gel like formula. There was a new shade in the Rouge Coco lipstick line that I had to have - 462 Romy, a lovely bright pink (my favourite type of pink).
Chanel has also released a new lip line - Rouge Coco Stylo. The formula is said to be as intense as a lipstick, as shiny as a gloss and as comfortable as a balm. On my initial swatching I would say this is true. I purchased the shades 202 Conte, 208 Roman and 212 Recit.
Chanel has also released a new moisturiser designed for sensitive skin with only 10 ingredients. La Solution 10 de Chanel is becoming a fast favourite for me. It is hydrating but does not feel heavy on my skin.
Le Weekend de Chanel is a bit of a hero product from Chanel skincare, for me anyway. It is a skin renewing treatment that exfoliates and provides hydration. My skin feels as soft as rose petals when using this. The Edition Douce is the version designed for more sensitive skin.
I made a rushed trip into Lush to check out their new body products. I didn't have much time so I made a beeline for my favourite type of products from Lush - the body washes. I walked away with Yuzu and Cocoa Shower Cream and The Comforter Shower Cream. My shower is going to smell so good!
That's it for my haul. No more shopping for me for a while. Haha, like that will happen...
What have you hauled lately?
